Recycle your electrical items in town hall, off Rickmansworth Road, through Watford Borough Council's new scheme

Watford residents will have the opportunity to recycle unwanted electrical items through a new scheme running throughout January.
Watford Borough Council has set up an electrical bin in its customer service centre, in town hall, off Rickmansworth Road where people can drop off their unwanted goods.
Among items people will be able to recycle are gadgets and toys, as well as personal care items like hairdryers, shavers, electrical toothbrushes and kitchen goods like kettles, toasters and food mixers.
The council said it will not be able to accept large items such TVs and computer monitors.
However these can be taken to one of the two local Hertfordshire County Council Household Waste and Recycling Centres.
Councillor Derek Scudder, the cabinet member, said: "We know that the more convenient that we make recycling for residents, the more they recycle.
If you have any small old or broken electrical items that you don’t want any longer, please do come and help us recycle even more."
