Replacement bus service in action between St Albans Abbey and Watford Junction due to emergency engineering works

A replacement bus service is currently running between St Albans Abbey and Watford Junction due to emergency engineering works.

The 11.09am service from Watford and the 11.30am train from St Albans will not be running.

Trains are expected to return to normal this afternoon.

Wasnt it supposed to have been converted into light rail by 2011? Richard Harrington assured us it would go ahead in 2010: http://www.watfordob

Good point! Extending it up the hill to St Albans City Centre, and Down through Watford Town Centre would surely increase numbers using it as well, not to mention being much more useful...

This line is not a service by any stretch of the imagination but a costly disgrace to users. Meanwhile we are all distracted by the so called HS2 line to somewhere North. They've got to be running out of excuses.
