Elwyn Wilson at Three Rivers District Council receives award for 25 years service

A senior civil servant at Three Rivers District Council has been recognised with a long service award.

Democratic services manager Elwyn Wilson, was presented with a framed certificate in recognition of his 25 years service to the council during Tuesday night’s extraordinary council meeting.

Mr Wilson, who joined in 1988 as a principal committee manager, says he enjoys helping members to do their jobs.

He joked: "I hope this means they will stop calling me ‘that new boy Wilson’."

We have a lot of excellent council officers at Three Rivers, but Elwyn is one of the best of the best. This was reflected in the warm and sincere applause from all sides of the council chamber on Tuesday evening.
