4:30pm Monday 14th January 2013 in News By Frazer Ansell
Axis open day with Phil Doyle, Regional Director, Norther Europe of Axis, Rachel fowler from The Peace Hospice and Roger Gagan, Chief Executive of the Watford Chamber of Commerce
A business networking day was held by Axis Communications which relocated their regional HQ to Watford last year.
Many local businesses and Watford Chamber of Commerce members attended the networking event where a hog roast and buffet were laid on, as well as a charity fundraising raffle supporting The Peace Hospice.
The day gave Axis an opportunity to showcase the capabilities of their surveillance equipment and support a local charity.
Thanks were expressed to those who donated raffle prizes for the event including Arsenal Football Club, Watford Football Club, The GrimsDyke Hotel, Jury’s Inn and Clas Ohlsen. The raffle raised £380 for The Peace Hospice.
Hospice corporate development manager, Rachel Fowler, said: "Support from professional and exciting companies like Axis is essential to help us raise the money we need to offer the services of The Peace Hospice.
"The day was great with tremendous support from local businesses and associations. Axis have also donated a large TV to the Hospice to use to portray our messages on. I look forward to working with them throughout 2013."
