Northwood and Pinner Liberal Synagogue visited by UK Ambassador to Israel, Matthew Gould

The UK Ambassador to Israel, Matthew Gould, visited Northwood and Pinner Liberal Synagogue at the weekend to address the congregation.

He emphasised the importance of trade and academic links between the UK and Israel: in scientific research towards identifying medicinal cures for Parkinson's Disease and certain forms of cancer to the burgeoning technological start-up sector in Israel utilising UK trade routes.

The Ambassador stated that he had only had positive responses from the leaders of UK academic institutions and had a special message for NPLS's teenagers: One can celebrate both one's identity as a British Jew.

Ambassador Gould was presented with a pack of memorabilia form Kadimah Summer School, Liberal Judaism's summer camp, which has been run for 21 years by NPLS's Emertius Rabbi, Andrew Goldstein and his wife Sharon.
