Train passengers advised 'allow more time' before tomorrow's snow in south west Hertfordshire

Train passengers are being asked to check services before leaving the house tomorrow as south west Hertfordshire prepares for more snow.

First Capital Connect is asking people to check their website for delays or cancellations.

Roger Perkins, a spokesman from the train operator, said: "We have prepared as much as possible for the forecasted snow across England tomorrow and we will be working closely with Network Rail if we need a response to any issues with the track, power supply or signalling.

"However, disruption is likely and we strongly advise customers to allow more time for their journeys and to check before they travel."

ALLOW IT!

Commuter: "Sorry I'm late."

Employer: "Was it because of the snow?"

Commuter: "No"

Employer: "Was it because of the poor service delivered by London Midland?"

Commuter: "No"

Employer: "Was it a personal reason?"

Commuter: "No"

Employer: "So what was it then that made you late for work?"

Commuter: "The political system failed me."

Employer: "How?"

Commuter: "Richard Harrington was shooting a video outside Watford Junction station and stopped me to sign a signature about the poor quality of service delivered by London Midland."

Correction "sign a petition" apologies for the tautology, my brain was delayed because of the anticipated snow fall. I should have posted an advance notice of expected errors.

To be fair to the railway company, England has never had snow before so it is difficult for them to know what they might do.
Just imagine living in Sweden, Canada or even New York City where they don't have any railways at all because of frequent snow. The Trans-Siberian railway was a myth made up by the Soviet Union. It isn't real.
It might take another 100 years of research and development before a train system can function when faced with an inch of snow. And of course, ticket prices will have to rise accordingly.

I wonder how many Engineers Francis Combe Academy will spawn to solve the one inch snow issue for trains in England.

Probably none, but with Media Studies they will know the best way to film it and with an A-Level in Psychology will be able to speculate why people were annoyed at being late for work, which is always useful.

Richard Harrington can then join in to request a pay rise of 32% for MPs, used in part to employ such students on an Apprenticeship basis to film his You Tube uploads and to design his questionnaires. That would save the students 4 years of study at a cost of over £40k (including living costs) on a Media related programme after which they are likely to face the second highest graduate employment rates http://www.v3.co.uk/
