Earlier this afternoon West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust said all services were running as normal at Watford General Hospital.

No patient appointments had been cancelled but the hospital was advising people to give themselves extra travel time if they did have an appointment today.

The trust will be reviewing the situation throughout the day as the snow continues to fall.

Oxhey Early Years Centre Watford: closing at 2 pm to make sure children, families and staff can get home safely. Please collect your child as soon as you can.

TRAVEL UPDATE

Still no distruptions to bus services in Hertfordshire, although Arriva is reporting cancellations in Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire.

Lindsay Frostick, from Arriva, said: "In all areas, snow has started to settle on some roads and we are reviewing our services. Some more minor roads are not able to be served.

"Delays to all services are to be expected so please bear with us during the extreme weather."

Garston Manor Garston: school closing at 1.30pm today due to bad weather,  updates every hour with any changes.

Kingswood Nursery Watford: closing nursery and pre-school at 11.30. No lunch club or hot meals. No afternoon nursery or pre-school sessions due to worsening weather conditions.

West Herts College will close at 12.30pm due to snow.

Two cars and a lorry have crashed on the M25 near Kings Langley.

The incident happened at 10.20am, when a silver Ford Fiesta, a blue Vauxhall Van and a lorry crashed between junction 20 and 21.

Police and the Highways Agency are still on the clockwise carrigeway. Two people have minor injuries, and the road not closed.

Chorleywood Primary School: due to the earlier than expected arrival of snow and the forecast for later, the school will close at 12 today.

Hartsbourne Primary in Bushey Heath: due to severe weather school will close at 1.30pm today.

Hertsmere Jewish Primary School in Radlett: Due to the current snowfall and the prediction of heavy snow and treacherous conditions, the will close school at 10.30am. The coach will be leaving at this time, please ensure you are at the stops to collect your children.

Highwood Primary School in Bushey: due to snow, Highwood will be closing today at 12pm. Please pick children up as soon as possible. School drive is closed for safety reasons.

Kings Langley Primary School: due to the weather, school will close at 1pm today, after the children have enjoyed their lunch. Please collect from outside your child's classroom. Have a lovely weekend.

Rickmansworth Secondary School: due to severe weather warnings we intend to close the school at 12.30pm.
