Young netball players crowned champions of Three Rivers
Young netball players at Arnett Hills JMI in Mill End are celebrating a double success.
After finishing their league undefeated the team, made up of years five and six, went into the Three Rivers Partnership Final last Tuesday (January 15) full of confidence.
That confidence was well deserved as they beat all comers, including the highly-rated team from Royal Masonic School, to be crowned champions of Three Rivers.
The pupils will now go on to represent the district at the county final in March.
Molly Gough, 11, said: "It was awesome to win, we have been playing together since year five and we are looking forward to March."
Luke Clark, 10, added: "It was quite scary and really tense at the last bit, we all just went crazy when we won."
