Police appeal for driver of white Mercedes E63 AMG or E63 AMG Sport, after fatal M25 crash

A 50-year-old motorcyclist has died after sustaining serious head injuries during a crash on the M25 near Mill End.

The man, from Shortstown in Bedfordshire, was involved in a crash between junctions 16 and 17 at 1.25pm on Wednesday, January 9.

The incident involved a white Vauxhall Insignia, a white E Class Mercedes and a Yamaha motorcycle.

The motorcyclist died on Wednesday in St Mary’s hospital in Paddington, after receiving serious head injuries.

Hertfordshire Constabulary believe the driver of the white Mercedes, who drove off after the crash, could greatly assist the inquiry.

The car has been described as an E63 AMG or E63 AMG Sport.

PC Terry Nesbitt, from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said: "We have been trying to trace the driver of the Mercedes and I would like to repeat my appeal for him or her to contact police as soon as possible to we can ascertain what happened."

If you have any information which help in the investigation, telephone PC Nesbitt on 101, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

With the amount of ANPR cameras and CCTV cameras around everywhere I am surprised the Police are asking for help..........but whenever the public want information or would ike to know more it is always the same " the police do not want to release any more details " you cant have it both ways !! Very sorry for the motorcyclist and his family, but you cant help thinking that if the driver did stop or called in they have read the papers and seen other documentaries that they would end up the scapegoat for anything the police could try to stick onto them..........if they were not involved that is, if they were then they should be questioned.
