New mental health centre for Radlett in Kingsley Green

A mental health centre costing £42million has been given the go-ahead to be built in Radlett.

Work on the unit will begin in the next couple of weeks at Kingsley Green and it will be completed by summer 2014. National Health Service staff involved in the project will be visiting the site next week.

Services at the centre will include an inpatient assessment and treatment for adults suffering an acute episode of mental health.

The inpatient facility, situated on the Harperbury NHS site, will also feature courtyard gardens, lounges and quiet spaces as well as therapy areas.

The centre will be on the same site as Forest House, a unit for young people who need inpatient mental health care.
