Residents asked to share views on new homes in Bushey, Radlett and Aldenham
12:00pm Sunday 27th January 2013 in News
By Mike Wright, Chief Reporter
Residents in Bushey, Radlett and Aldenham are being asked their views on the acceptable size of new homes in the borough.
Hertsmere Borough Council is currently consulting on its Planning and Design Guide, which will affect future developments.
Residents have until 5pm Friday, March 8 to comment on the changes. The revised document, along with people's comments, will be presented to the council's executive committee later this year.
Councillor Dr Harvey Cohen, portfolio holder for planning and localism, said: "We are constantly trying to strike a balance between the growing need for decent homes in the borough, and the need to protect the character of Hertsmere’s towns and villages, and the Green Belt."
Copies of the guide can be found at www.hertsmere.gov.uk/planning or at Hertsmere Borough Council’s civic offices in Elstree Way, Borehamwood, WD6 1WA.
