Granddaughter sells over 260 charity calendars for The Stroke Association

A woman from Bedmond, who rallied her friends to strip off for a tongue in cheek calendar to raise money for a stroke charity, has thanked her local community after selling more than 260.

Jayme-lee Pablos of Bedmond Road, Pimlico, persuaded her friends to get their kit off after her grandmother, Angie Bass, had a stroke in November last year.

Twelve friends joined her in posing nude for each month of the year to raise money for The Stroke Association.

Now Jayme-Lee, 24, wants to thank everyone for their support after selling 263 calendars.

Ms Pablos, who is a psychology student, said: "I knew nothing about strokes or the devastating effects when it happened to my Nan.

"I didn’t want any other family to learn the hard way so I decided to raise awareness about stroke by doing a calendar with my best friends and giving all the profits to The Stroke Association charity.

"Now, 263 calendars later I can safely say a lot more people are aware of stroke and how to recognise it."

After a three week delay in the printing of the calendars, they are now on sale and Ms Pablos hopes she can raise over £2000 for The Stroke Association.

The Swan and The Unicorn in Abbots Langley and Bartholomew's Of Bedmond have also agreed to sell the calendars.
