An Abbots Langley community club is urging residents to vote for them in a bid to win a £100,000 grant to improve their facilities.
This comes after Evergreen Football Club was announced as the winner of a £50,000 grant, as part of the Budweiser Club Futures programme.
The football club will now have the opportunity to win an additional £100,000 super grant to top up their funds following a vote by football fans on Facebook.
They hope to spend the extra cash on expanding their new clubhouse and making it wheelchair accessible.
Ron Smith, Chairman of Evergreen FC urged residents to vote for the football club, by watching their "unique" video to illustrate the facilities that would be used by children across Watford.
Mr Smith said: "Our aim is to offer people of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy football at all levels and add value to our local community.
"We are building a facility that can be used and enjoyed by the whole community and would look to make the facilities accessible to people with disabilities, including making it wheelchair accessible.
"We want to build on our Paralympic and Olympic legacy to make something we are proud of and that will last for many years into the future."
The essence of the grant is to shine a light on grassroots football and make local teams more sustainable within the community. Evergreen FC hope they can build on the £50,000 cash injection they have already received which will be spent on building a new clubhouse, providing larger facilities for busy training nights, as well as allowing them to cater for the growing junior section of the club.
Voting has now opened on the Budweiser UK and FA Cup Facebook page. To vote for Evergreen FC, visit www.facebook.com/budweiseruk or www.facebook.com/thefacup
