Dacorum Borough Council asks for residents' views on Housing Allocations Policy

Residents in the borough of Dacorum are being given the chance to have their say on housing priorities in their area.
Dacorum Borough Council is asking for residents' view on proposed changes to its Housing Allocations Policy, which sets out how applications for council and housing association homes in Dacorum are prioritised.
The changes aim to meet local housing needs in the area and to ensure applicants are given priority for homes that are most appropriate to their needs. The proposals include some new qualifying conditions to join the housing register, which make it easier for someone to move from a larger family house into a smaller one once their family has left.
Residents can see the draft policy and give feedback on www.dacorum.gov.uk/consultation or get a copy of the consultation documents by contacting customer services on 01442 228000.
The closing date for comments and feedback is Friday, March 8 at 12 noon.
