Pupils from Arnett Hills JMI school swapped the cold weather of Rickmansworth for sunny down under as they celebrated Australia Day last Friday.
The school in Berry Lane, Rickmansworth hosted the event for year one and two pupils in connection with a geography topic on Australia. They were led by Australian-born teacher Miss Mitchell.
Among the activities the children enjoyed were aboriginal dream painting, making Anzac cookies and crafting boomerangs. The children also enjoyed a camp fire in the afternoon.
