Woman hit by car in Rickmansworth Road injured

A woman was injured after being hit by a car in Cassiobury Park Avenue last night.

The incident took place at 7pm when a blue Ford Fiesta hit a woman. Hertfordshire Constabulary described the injury as "serious".

She was taken away by an ambulance with a broken leg or hip, and the car had to be towed away.

Traffic had to be diverted after Rickmansworth Road was closed.

Ah. I see the report is changing. Earlier the location was given as RIckmansworth Road, now Cassiobury Park Avenue.

This 20mph seemingly poltical quick fit link to safety is intriguing because it throws up alot of questions. Just musing if any correlationships have been done with regard to the poor conditions of roads, unsalted streets, quietness of engine, size like a lorry, condition, colour visibility eg pink, in house ghetto blaster distractions causing road rage or age of vehicle that hits a person? Have any studies been done as to whether pot holes, speed cameras etc cause accidents or even the polluting noisy humps increase the risk to patients travelling by ambulance. Which age groups are prone to careless anti-social driving and how about references before one gets into a vehicle that can kill?
