Two injured in three vehicle crash in A41 Otterspool Way

A three-vehicle crash left two motorists needing hospital treatment and a busy stretch of road into Watford closed for several hours on Sunday afternoon (February 3).

Police closed a section of the A41 Otterspool Way and the southbound slip road of the M1 for almost two hours following an accident at Junction 5.

The crash happened shortly after 4pm and involved a black Volkswagen Passat and two silver Volkswagen Golfs and spread across two lanes of the slip road at the roundabout.

Two motorists were taken to Watford General Hospital with minor injuries, one of whom was placed on a spinal board.

The A41 was closed while emergency crews worked and was reopened to traffic at 5.40pm.
