Grant of £1,000 for offices home to Watford charities

A north Watford centre providing office space to charities has been awarded a £1,000 council grant to improve the building.

Hertfordshire County Council has awarded the cash to the Lemarie Centre, in St Albans Road, to help it refurbish the existing fire doors and install a new one.

The Watford Mencap Childrens Centre, Watford Asian Community Care, West Herts Against Crime and The Stroke Association are all based in the building.

The money has come from the council’s locality grant scheme.

Or just as worthy as soccer nets, just because a football club isnt a registered charity doesnt mean what it is doing in the community isnt as important.
