CCTV released after elderly man is conned in north Watford

Police have released images of a baseball-capped suspect after an elderly man was conned on his doorstep in north Watford.
The incident occurred at around 1.10pm on Monday February 4 in the Callowland area when the suspect knocked on the victim’s door and claimed he owed him money for decoration work.
The victim handed over money and the man made off.
Hertfordshire Constabulary has also released CCTV footage of a similar incident that also happened in Watford.
Detective Constable Rachael Gallagher said: "This is the second time the victim had been targeted in this way. The previous incident occurred on January 13 and it is believed the same offender has targeted the elderly victim.
"I would like to speak with this man pictured in the photo about the incident. It may be that he witnessed the crime or can offer assistance in the investigation. If you can help identify him I would urge you to contact me as soon as possible."
