Pupils in an infant school took part in a world record attempt, to get the largest number of people singing in sign language.

Bushey and Oxhey Infant School took part in the event on Wednesday, along with schools up and down the UK and around the world.

The children learned a song in sign language and at 2.45pm an attempt was made to break the Guinness World Record for the largest amount of people signing and singing.

The school will not find out whether the record has been broken until all the results are collected and verified.

The event was organised by Sign2sing, and more than £150 was raised for the charity Deaf Awareness.
