On Wednesday, February 13 Alzheimer's Society volunteers united for a flash mob Singing For The Brain (SFTB) performance in The Harlequin Shopping Centre to support Dementia Friends.
Led by SFTB coordinator Kerry Brabant, the group sang a range of songs including Morecambe and Wise hit Bring Me Sunshine, Mary Poppins classic Chim Chim Cher-ee' and Frank Sinatra's Fly Me To The Moon.
Dementia Friends is an initiative launched by the Alzheimer's Society which aims to reach one million people in England by 2015, with free information sessions exploring what it is like to live with the condition.
As shoppers passed and stopped to listen to the singing, they were handed Dementia Friends leaflets and encouraged to sign up for upcoming training taking place in Watford in the coming weeks.
