Aldenham pupils enjoy International Day
Pupils from Edge Grove, in Aldenham Village, celebrated International Day with a special assembly and a timetable filled with activities about cultures from around the world on Tuesday.
Different year groups focused on various continents. Year three were allocated South America and spent the day making hats, carnival dancing, samba playing and participating in a crash course in Portuguese.
Year four learnt about North America and were given a presentation on the constitution and sports of the area, as well as line dancing, lemonade making and donut eating.
Headmaster Ben Evans said: "The children were able to explore, discover and understand other countries, cultures and beliefs, which is why events such as International Day are so important in a school."
The school lunch menu also changed for the day, with main courses being offered from the Philippines, France, Canada and a selection of salads from around the world.
