Children in Watford got the chance to learn from the professionals how 17th century firefighters would have battled the Great Fire of London this week.

Around 60 six and seven-year-olds from Kingsway Infants School were given a masterclass by firefighters Watford’s blue watch after which they got the chance to douse a mini cardboard recreation of housing in London.

School business manager Fiona Mannaring said: "It was lovely, the children all enjoyed it and the parents had a good time too."

I hope nobody was being serious about this, as the kids wouldn't have learned very much! Surely firefighters DIDN'T tackle the Great Fire of London since a large part of the city burned down!!!
