Police to fit anti-theft screws for free in Bushey
5:10pm Wednesday 27th February 2013 in News By Kathryn Snowdon, Reporter
Bushey residents can have free anti-theft screws fitted to their number plates at a PL8SAFE event this Saturday to help prevent them being stolen.
The Bushey Safer Neighbourhood Team will be at Kemp Place car park from 11am to 2pm to offer crime prevention advice, mark pedal cycles and provide guidance on registering property on the national property register - immobilise.com.
PCSO Carole Bull said: "We hope that Bushey residents will make use of this free opportunity, so together we can further reduce vehicle crime in the area."
The screws are fitted by Kipling Motorist Centre and are supplied by the Hertsmere Community Safety Partnership.

I said nothing of the sort.
Read it again and then post an apology once you have understood my very clear post, otherwise I shall have to conclude you are out to cause mischief.
In particular, look at my very clear suggestion for action in para 3. It is the opposite of that which you have suggested.

Making one area crime resistant only moves the problem on to another area that is not.
Logic suggests that the crimes will move to another area, and then after sufficient crimes they too will get free anti-theft screws. Why not just cut out the middleman (the thieves and criminals) and just fit them everywhere?
In the meantime, we are all screwed!
