Police appeal for information after dog attack in Oxhey Park

Witnesses are being urged to come forward with information about a dog attack in Oxhey Park last week.

At around 1pm on Thursday, February 21, a woman was walking her Jack Russell terrier when another dog, described as similar in appearance to an American bulldog, ran from its owner and attacked the woman and Jack Russell.

The incident happened in Oxhey Park, Eastbury Road, and the offending dog is described as being tan and white in colour with pink markings on its face.

The description of the owners, who did not stop at the scene, is a man and a woman in their late teens to early 20s.

The man had cropped dark hair and the woman had dark red/brown hair which was worn in a ponytail. She was wearing a long dark coat which had a hood, possibly with a fur trim.

PC Chloe Taylor, said: "Two people stopped to help the woman and took her and her dog to the vets. As yet we haven’t spoken with these people and I am keen to trace them. If this was you please contact me.

"I would also like to appeal to anyone who saw what happened or who can offer any assistance in identifying the two people described to contact police."

I feel so sorry for the dog that was attacked. I don't know but it sounds like the dog that bit was a "Status Dog".

I despise the inadequates that keep these animals to disguise their small genitals.

It was Alexei Sayle who had it right when he just said "Big dog small ****".

Also a lot of them are into dubstep.
