Raw sewage causes big stink in Rickmansworth car park
A Rickmansworth car park was drenched in raw sewage flowing from a broken overhead waste pipe.
The foul-smelling wave engulfed an area of the public car park in Northway on Saturday afternoon after a pipe apparently carrying waste from nearby flats broke.
The area around the pipe is cordoned off with tape and Three Rivers District Council is understood to be taking action to clean up the mess.
One Twitter user said: "I am just totally shocked that such overhead pipework in a municipal car park carries sewerage."
