Rickmansworth School's sports hall almost complete

Redevelopment of a multi-purpose sports hall at Rickmansworth School is nearing completion.

Builders will provisionally hand over the hall to the school next Monday (March 11). A series of controlled test events will then be carried out prior to the hall’s official opening at the Spring Fair on Saturday, April 27.

The multi-purpose sports hall will offer pupils the chance to play football, netball, basketball, cricket, gymnastics and badminton. The facility will also include a dance studio three times the size of the current facility as well as adding a fitness studio and four changing rooms to the facility.

Furthermore, spoil from the construction has been used to build an extra sports pitch.

Construction on the hall began in July 2012.
