3:20pm Wednesday 13th March 2013 in News
By Adam Binnie, Senior Reporter
The perpetrator of an unprovoked attack, which left a man with a fractured eye socket, is yet to be caught.
At 7.30pm on February 27, a 27-year-old man was walking alone in Woodgate, Watford, when he was approached from behind and punched in the face.
The man fell over and the attacker drove off in a white vehicle.
The victim suffered two fractures to his eye socket, which required hospital treatment.
Detective constable Adrian Lysak from the Local Crime Unit in Watford is investigating and said: "We are making enquiries into this incident, which we believe was completely unprovoked.
"This happened in a residential area, and we are keen to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened.
"Did you see the offender in the white vehicle? Have you heard anyone bragging about what happened since?
"If you have any information at all, I would urge you to call me as soon as possible."
Anyone with information can contact the Local Crime Unit using the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference number C1/13/460.
