South Oxhey job fair at The Centre proves to be a success

Job-hunters flocked to the South Oxhey Job Fair on Monday morning.
Around 50 residents turned up to The Centre in Gosforth Lane to talk to would-be employers including Thrive, Watford Community Housing Trust and Age UK.
As well as job opportunities, attendees were offered help with their CVs and covering letters from community charity Ascend.
This is the second South Oxhey job fair in recent months.
Councillor Ty Harris, who organised the event, said: "I hope doing it on a regular basis will promote more awareness and more people will come.
"There could always be more businesses but it is difficult in this economic climate.
"The feeling I got from the people there and the ones that have come back to me is that they were appreciative of the support out there."
