Red-nose rockets took to the sky as Radlett pupils launched their science projects in aid of Comic Relief on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.

Two hundred Shenley Primary School students have been taking part in a special two-day ‘exploring space’ workshop.

Parents were then invited to join the children on the school fields at 3.15pm to launch their own Red-Nose-cone rockets, with about 50 pupils taking part.

Year 5 science teacher, Tracey Baptiste, said she thought the rocket launch "was a great idea and the kids would love it - which they did!"

At £2 a launch, the school managed to raise £110 for Comic Relief.
