3:20pm Friday 22nd March 2013 in News By Kathryn Snowdon, Reporter
Budding young Beckhams have been given extra time after Arsenal Football Club renewed its partnership with Hertsmere Borough Council.
The community partnership delivers football coaching, literacy sessions and holiday and after-school activities to children across the borough.
The partnership, in place since 2008, was due to end this month, but will now continue on a rolling basis subject to annual reviews.
More than 20 primary, junior and secondary schools in Hertsmere have taken part in the partnership’s curriculum football coaching and Double Club sessions.
The Double Club offers 45 minute football and 45 minute literacy sessions to year five and six pupils over the course of a term.
