A new "swapping network" has been set up in West Watford, offering residents the chance to trade goods and services without spending money.
The "Westie LETS" group launches tonight in the main hall at the West Watford Community Centre, in Harwoods Road, from 7pm until 9pm.
It is a community based barter system, and registered charity, which allows members in and around the Vicarage ward to swap things, and earn credits in a virtual currency, called "Westies".
Tradable goods and services include dog walking, DIY, home-grown food, gardening help and equipment loan.
