A new appeal for information about the "despicable" robbery of a 12-year-old girl will take place in South Oxhey tomorrow.
The robbery took place at 9.15am on Saturday 16, when the young girl was walking on the footpath from The Highlands to Hayling Road, between the gym equipment and the children’s play area.
Two men walked passed her and then turned around and grabbed her bag. During the struggle the girl fell over and cut her hands and face.
The men, described as wearing hooded tops and tracksuit bottoms, then disappeared with the bag in the direction of the Highlands.
Tomorrow, officers will be appealing for information by handing out fliers and speaking with people.
PC Sam Floyd, who is investigating the incident, said: "It will be one week on from this despicable robbery on a young girl which has left her feeling very shaken and has outraged the community.
"We hope by having this appeal that we can encourage more witnesses to come forward.
"I would urge anyone who may have seen two men acting suspiciously in the area at the time or who may have seen them running along Gosforth Lane or in the Highlands, to contact us immediately on 101."
