People in south west Hertfordshire are heading to the polls today to decide who will represent them on the county council.

Polling stations have been open since 7am and residents have until 10pm to register their vote.

Candidates are vying for 77 seats on Hertfordshire County Council, which controls services such as school, roads, streetlights and social services.
