11:17am

Our reporter Ben Endley in Watford town centre has just sent this in.

"Plenty of fans in town, colourfully dressed and creating a carnival atmosphere. There's also a very heavy police presence including dogs and officers stationed outside all the bars."

11:08am

That situation will only change if Hull put 19 past Cardiff today.

11:07am

Hull currently sit one point above Watford, but the Hornets' superior goal difference means they will go through if both teams are level on points at the end of today.

11:05am

To recap the situation: Watford simply need to better Hull's result today to clinch the last automatic promotion slot.

11:04am

We will be bringing you live updates from the game against Leeds United this afternoon at Vicarage as well as Hull's game against champions Cardiff at the KC Stadium.

Sorry for the Watford fans that the results went wrong but good news to note one wheel has come off the Pozzo wagon. Hopefully their manipulation of the rules and devastation of their academy will become more apparent if their experiment does not succeed.
I would like to see Watford succeed but the Pozzo's have destroyed the lifes of many young players over the last year including the poor lad in goal having been released he's expected to perform in that arena. Absolute joke!

I'm not to down. Silly individual errors cost us. Even without Deeney, a misfiring forward and a dodgy keeper we still had Leeds under the kosh. However, with these factors going into the next game against Leicester it's not looking so good. Zola has a big job picking the players up. We've got the quality, let's see if we've got the mentality. Have mixed feelings about Troy at the moment. Never had a bad game all season and then goes and does something like that. Zola's face as he walked by him spoke volumes.

Can you explain why the academy has been devasted?

What has been shown is that if young players are good enough they will get game time and players with potential have been rewarded with long contracts.
What has been all to evident is that the bar has been raised. Sadly players who are not good enough will fall by the wayside but that's football.
