Hundreds of people lined the streets of Rickmansworth to watch the start of Ricky Week on Saturday.
The carnival parade of decorated floats featuring young people from across the area left from Bury grounds at 1.30pm and made its way up then High Street.
This was followed by the crowning of Miss Rickmansworth and the formal opening of the 59th Rickmansworth Week.
Events are taking place all week culminating in the Rickmansworth Festival on Saturday and Sunday (May 18 & 19) in the Aquadrome and Batchworth Lock.
