Bushey school children enjoyed a lively percussion session when an African drummer visited their school.
Bushey and Oxhey Infant School pupils from reception, Year 1 and Year 2 had a chance to play the djembe drums yesterday.
The musician from Ghana visited the school in Aldenham Road as part of the children’s African project unit.
Bringing 25 drums with him, the representative from Afrik Entertainment spent the entire school day teaching pupils some of his native rhythms.
Deputy headteacher, Alex Armitage, who organised the event, said: “The children loved every aspect of it.”
As part of their project, Year 2 pupils have also been to see The Lion King in London’s West End.
