Five friends from Bushey have cycled from London to Brussels to raise funds for the Cancer Treatment and Research Trust at Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood.
Lee Carter, Matt Springham, Gavin Brown, Paul Manning and Stewart Read cycled for four days, covering 340 miles.
The team, known as ‘Mary’s Boys’, raised over £16,000 in memory of Mr Carter’s mother who lost her battle with cancer last year.
Professor Gordon Rustin, the founder of the Cancer Treatment and Research Trust at Mount Vernon (CTRT), said: "We are very proud of our supporters and fundraisers for the amazing efforts they make on behalf of the CTRT. We thank them and all of their supporters for their donations."
The unit conducts research into new cancer treatments.
