Man in trauma unit after car hits tree in Horseshoe Lane, Garston
A man in his 20s was airlifted to hospital after a car crashed into a tree in Garston yesterday afternoon.
The man was taken to St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, with suspected chest injuries following the collision in Horseshoe Lane, at 4.20pm.
Land ambulance crews and police also attended the scene, where a black hatchback suffered serious damage to its front, and the road was closed.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called at 4.20pm on Sunday, August 11, to a collision between a car and a tree in Horseshoe Lane, Watford.
“East of England Ambulance Service Trust dispatched a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance, and a Herts Air Ambulance.
“A man believed to be in his mid-twenties, was airlifted to the major trauma centre at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, with suspected chest injuries.”
