A talented Chorleywood teenager is one of the stars of a new production of The Sound of Music which has won rave reviews from theatre critics.

Elise Bugeja, 13, (pictured front row, second from right) is treading the boards in front of sell-out crowds at the Regents Park Open Air Theatre.

Elise, a pupil at Sylvia Young Theatre School in London, plays one of the Von Trapp children in the popular musical.

She said: "It's a magical feeling performing under the stars at Regents Park. "I love my on-stage Von Trapp family, we are so close and act just like a real family on and off the stage.

"The standing ovations for all our shows are amazing and I am really glad the critics love it too."
