Warner Bros studios in Leavesden seek permission from Three Rivers District Council to keep filming tank
The film studios that produced the Harry Potter franchise have applied for permission to keep a large filming tank.
Warner Bros studios in Leavesden have submitted an application to Three Rivers District Council to keep the exterior water tank which has already been part built. The application is part retrospective and states that work started on June 3.
Abbots Langley parish council discussed the application at a meeting last Wednesday.
After the meeting, councillor Martin Brooks said: "The only issue that was raised was the fact that is seems like a whole lot of water and there was nothing in the reports about what that would do to the local water system. There were concerns about how much water would be used."
The tank will be used to film underwater scenes. The applicants have requested that if it gets approved, there is no condition that would affect the depth the tank can be filled.
In an official comment to Three Rivers District Council, the parish council said: "Members have no objections to the application but expressed concerns with regard to the additional water required for the tank and that it should have no detrimental effect on the service to supply residential properties in the area."
