South Oxhey drug dealer Charlie Sinnott jailed for two years
4:40pm Friday 16th August 2013 in News
A South Oxhey man has been sentenced to over two years imprisonment for the supply of class A drugs.
Charlie Sinnott, of Bramshaw Gardens, was found with 10 bags of cocaine, with a street value of £600, in an alley way near Muirfield Road, South Oxhey, in March, after a member of the public called police to report suspicious behaviour.
Police charged the 25-year-old with possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
He appeared at St Albans Crown Court on Friday, August 9 where he was sentenced to two years and four months imprisonment.
Oxhey Safer Neighbourhood Team's sergeant Luke Mitchell said: "It is thanks to the prompt calls from local people reporting suspicious behaviour that we were able to take swift action.
"As a result, a substantial amount of class A drugs were removed from circulation and a dealer has now been put behind bars.
"We rely on information from residents about suspicious activity. You are the eyes and ears of your neighbourhood and I would anyone witnessing behaviour which is out of the ordinary to contact us so we can respond."
