Abbots Langley parish council hands out its grants to local groups
A football club, the Citizens Advice Bureau and a church are among the organisations to receive grants from Abbots Langley parish council.
The parish council awarded a number of community organisations lump sums for the financial year 2013 to 2014.
Abbots Youth Football Club received £600 to support the costs of hiring external training pitches and St Pauls Church Langleybury received £1,500 to support its churchyard maintenance costs.
The largest sum of money went to the Citizens Advice Bureau in Three Rivers, who received £2,000 to engage home-visiting and a case worker at the Abbots Langley Branch.
Also awarded money by the parish council was Bedmond Village Task Force, St. Lawrence Church, Abbots Langley Cricket Club and Bedmond Women’s Institute.
