Night-time closures for A4125 Eastbury Road, Watford
A main road in Watford is due to undergo nighttime closures for a major resurfacing scheme.
Hertfordshire County Council said work will begin on the A4125 Eastbury Road, Watford, on Monday, September 2.
The £40,500 scheme will repair the worn-out road surface on sections of the road between the A411 and the B4542 The Woods junction.
Work will be carried out between 8pm and 5am using phased full road closures and is expected to take three nights to complete.
The council said signed alternative routes will be in place during the works. Access to properties will be maintained and pedestrian access will not be affected. Terry Douris, Cabinet Member for Highways, said: "These works form part of Hertfordshire County Council's on-going commitment to maintain and improve our roads for the benefit of all road users in Hertfordshire.
"We appreciate that this is a major route and understand that these essential maintenance works are likely to cause disruption and inconvenience both to motorists and residents. We apologise for this and would ask everyone for their co-operation while the work is in progress."
