Crowds gather at Bushey Rose Garden's free outdoor concert
Bushey Rose Garden was the venue of a live acoustic concert at the weekend, as crowds gathered to enjoy the free music on offer.
The High Street garden featured some of Hertfordshire’s unsigned acts in a one-off community concert, which attracted about 150 people on Sunday afternoon.
Organised by Hertsmere Leisure’s Motivate4 Parks event team, the concert ran from 2pm until 7pm.
Hertsmere Leisure’s projects coordinator, Rob Dodkin, said the event went "perfectly" and says he hopes to make it even bigger and better next year.
Mr Dodkin, who is a member of My Little Empire, one of the bands who performed on the day, said he thought the rose garden would be the ideal place to put on an acoustic show.
He said: "The garden was the perfect setting and I’m delighted with how well the event went, especially considering it was the first one we put on.
"I didn’t know what to expect, or how many people would turn up, but lots of people came and brought their own picnics.
"There were lots of families there on the day and I’ve received some really great feedback. Hopefully next year it’ll be even bigger and better."
The garden, which has more than 500 roses in flower, celebrated its centenary this year.
