Bushey boy has day to remember with Arsenal FC at the Emirates Stadium
A seven-year-old from Bushey played football with the Arsenal first team squad at the Emirates Stadium.
Louie Vincent, of Bourne Road, took part in a day to remember when he became one of 30 Junior Gunners to take on the premiership team.
The match, which was the first of its kind at Arsenal, saw the young fans take on Arsene Wenger’s team, with the help of Gunners and England player Theo Walcott, who joined the Junior Gunners team midway through.
Louie was invited to play a part in the 30th anniversary celebrations of the club’s young supporter scheme, the Junior Gunners, on Thursday, August 8.
Louie said: "I had a brilliant day at Arsenal. Not only did I get to meet my favourite players I was able to play football with them too."
The youngster also had the chance to watch the Arsenal team train and attend a question and answer session with players, Walcott, Kieran Gibbs and Olivier Giroud.
In commemoration of the Junior Gunners’ 30th birthday, Louie then headed out into the middle of the pitch to release one of 30 balloons into the sky.
Each balloon contained a free Junior Gunner membership for the 2013/14 season, to be claimed by the people that found them.
The young Arsenal fan was selected at random to take part in the day from over 30,000 Junior Gunners.
