Cameo nightclub, in The Parade, has future secured as Gatecrasher is restructured
The future of Cameo nightclub is secure after its parent company has undergone a restructuring.
Administrators Duffs and Phelps were appointed to Gatecrasher, which owns the venue in The Parade, earlier this month.
As part of the restructuring one of the company’s venues in Leeds closed, but company said the move had saved 300 jobs.
Simon Raine, Gatecrasher CEO, said: "The transfer of the business to the new company, along with extensive corporate restructuring and refunding of the business, has enabled Gatecrasher to progress on a secure financial footing.
"We now have a secure and positive platform to continue with our plans for domestic and international events.
"The restructuring was the only option available to ensure the continued viability and growth of the business and also preserve jobs."
Cameo opened last year following a major refurbishment and rebrand after Watford Borough Council imposed a forced closure for licence breaches at the nightclub under its previous name Area.
