A Loudwater teen is celebrating after picking up a bronze medal at the "Jewish Olympics".
Hollie Fisher, 15, from Rooks Hill, picked up a bronze medal at the Maccabiah Games in the girl’s junior 4 x 100m relay alongside team mates, Rachel Ayrton from Northwood, Elisha Kramer, and Chloe Jacobs.
She also reached the individual finals of the 100m freestyle, 200m breaststroke, 100m butterfly, the 100m breaststroke and both the 200m and 400m individual medley.
Hollie, who has just finished Year 10 at Royal Masonic School for Girls in Rickmansworth, said "I am so happy right now."
Hollie was part of a 500-strong Great Britain delegation of Jewish athletes that made the trip to Israel from July 18 to July 30.
Her mother Lisa Michaels, who travelled with Hollie for the games, said: "It was lovely to see all the dedication and hard work that Hollie puts into her training pay off for her so she could have such a great experience being part of the games."
