A West End star took a break from her busy schedule to help inspire pupils at a Rickmansworth performing arts school.

Sally Ann Triplett, who most recently played the lead role in Viva Forever!, dropped in on young people at Razzamataz Rickmansworth before travelling to Singapore to play the lead in the award-winning musical Next To Normal.

Sally recreated scenes from Viva Forever! and Cats, she also brought in costumes from the West End productions to help inspire the young performers.

Lisa Roberts, one of the principals, said: "Sally was simply brilliant with the students. "You could see how enthused and excited they were creating new characters without an ounce of self-consciousness.

"They were all involved and remembered everything in just a few hours. It was inspiring to watch and it is an experience that I believe they will remember for a long time."
