Village upset over Bovingdon gypsy site application
A contentious application to change a plot of land into a caravan site for eight gipsy families will be discussed at a Bovingdon parish council meeting next week.
The application for change of use of the land west of The Bobsleigh Hotel, in Hempstead Road, has been put to Dacorum Borough Council.
Chairman of Bovingdon Parish Council Glenn Povey has said the village is "quite upset" by the proposals.
Mr Povey said: "We will be discussing the application at a meeting on Monday. The village are quite upset by this and we will be opposing it."
The parish council meeting will be taking place at the Memorial Hall, in High Street, on Monday, September 2 at 6pm.
